Reality Check

I had car trouble last week. Nothing too major but my car didn't want to start so much. Usually at work and I'm not so good about the asking for help thing. I figured it was the battery or the the alternator or the starter but had no idea how to tell which. I gave it till the third time it happened to decide it wasn't a fluke and then I had an emotional episode. About halfway through I realize that what I'm really upset about is that this was my dad's job. Car trouble is his department and he should be here to tell me what to do or to fix it. I was angry but not specifically at him or at God for taking him just that it was.

I was thinking about it tonight and it hurts but I am so thankful for 30 years with a dad who took care of me. I am so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that and some get more but I was blessed with 30 years of a reliable dad who loved me and cared for me. So thank you Lord for that and thank You for my mom and sister and the rest of the family I have now. They are amazing and an awesome reminder that I'm not alone, even when I feel like I am.

Jehovah-jireh: the Lord will provide-and you always have.
